Blue Kyanite, an aluminum silicate mineral, is found in numerous locations worldwide, with significant deposits in Nepal. It became popular as a gemstone in the late 1990s. The stone exhibits color zoning, with multiple shades of blue, and sometimes displays a color change under different lights. Only the most skilled lapidaries work with this gem as Kyanite is challenging to facet due to its perfect cleavage and variable hardness.

Use a soft cloth to gently wipe clean the item you wish to clean. Remove any remaining impurities with mild diluted soap. Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly before storing away. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steamers or ultrasonic machines. Do not submerge or clean any of our gemstones with liquid cleaners.
