Hessonite garnet, a type of grossular garnet, ranges in color from yellow-orange to reddish-orange due to iron and manganese. It was likely discovered in ancient times in Asia and is now primarily sourced from Canada, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. The gem is known for its "heat wave" or "whisky in water" visual effect and is sometimes referred to as "cinnamon garnet." Garnets are the January birthstone and are traditionally given as a 2nd anniversary gift.

Use a soft cloth to gently wipe clean the item you wish to clean. Remove any remaining impurities with mild diluted soap. Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly before storing away. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steamers or ultrasonic machines. Do not submerge or clean any of our gemstones with liquid cleaners.
