Chrome tourmaline, first discovered in Tanzania in the 1950s, is a medium-rich, forest-green gemstone colored by vanadium and/or chromium. It is part of the dravite variety of tourmaline, and its color can rival that of the finest emeralds. It can exhibit secondary hues of yellow or blue under different lighting. Not all green tourmalines contain chromium and can be called chrome tourmaline. It's also a traditional gift for the 8th wedding anniversary.

Use a soft cloth to gently wipe clean the item you wish to clean. Remove any remaining impurities with mild diluted soap. Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly before storing away. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steamers or ultrasonic machines. Do not submerge or clean any of our gemstones with liquid cleaners.
