Zambian emeralds, formed over 500 million years ago, are known for their fine quality and unique medium to dark-toned green color due to Chromium, Vanadium, or a combination of both. They are less brittle and more robust than other emeralds due to their high iron content. These emeralds, commercially mined since the 1970s, are among the world's most significant sources of emeralds, second only to Colombia. They are part of the traditional "Big Four" gems and are associated with the 20th, 35th, and 55th wedding anniversaries and the birthstone for May.

Use a soft cloth to gently wipe clean the item you wish to clean. Remove any remaining impurities with mild diluted soap. Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly before storing away. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steamers or ultrasonic machines. Do not submerge or clean any of our gemstones with liquid cleaners.
